Turn On the Favor Faucet

Turn On the Favor Faucet

We were not meant to do life on our own or in our own strength. It is good to get an education, learn a trade, and excel professionally; however, you need one more essential ingredient that will take you to the top and it’s called “favor.”

The favor of God will take you places you cannot go to on your own. What God has in store for you is so big, so powerful, and so colossal that you need His assistance to get there. You can achieve more within a split second of God’s favor than you could on your own in an entire lifetime. Favor cannot be earned. It is a gift from God and it will open new doors for you. It will heal incurable disease, give you power to gain wealth, and enable you to help the poor. Favor will give you preferential treatment and cause you to stand before kings and queens.

I was made in heaven and born in India. My parents had four boys. When I was one, my mother went to be with Jesus. My brothers and I grew up in a Christian orphanage. After I got saved, I graduated from college with a business management degree. While I was searching for a job, I abruptly moved to Nepal, India’s neighboring country and home of Mount Everest.

Two of my brothers and I were new believers who did not know much about the Bible. However, we had great zeal. We worked as school teachers and shared the gospel with everyone we met. Within a few years, churches began to invite us to minister. Although we had no plans or influence, a powerful and prominent man by the name of Charles Mendies (we called him Chaldai or big brother Charles), showed favor towards us. He introduced us to the Christian leaders in Kathmandu, the capital city.

We were young and clueless as to where to start. Chaldai assured us that God would take care of everything. Some of the leaders in Kathmandu were jealous of us. We were unsure if Christian leaders in Nepal would receive foreigners as their peers. Chaldai booked a newly constructed three-star hotel as a venue for a breakfast meeting with the nation’s top Christian leaders. We could not afford it but Chaldai paid for it all.

On the day of the event, my brothers and I were nervous to say the least. We were terrified to stand in front of a room filled with so many pastors and leaders, some of whom were not our fans. Nevertheless, everything went well and we were “licensed” to operate as a viable ministry in a highly persecuted nation. We did not recognize it at the time, but looking back makes me realize that it was the favor God that got us started in the ministry over thirty years ago. Since then my brothers and I have ministered in over 150 countries and, by the grace of God, touched millions of lives! We are still close family friends with Brother Charles.

They say every cloud has a silver lining. Well, mine has been favor. Since that humble beginning, I have learned that you have to turn on the favor faucet in order to excel in life. When we expect it, thank God for it, and grant it to others, we begin to see and experience favor pushing us forward.

Friend, God has lined up the right people for you. You may not know them right now but do not worry. God does! Like Brother Charles, God has the right people in place for you. You do not have to manipulate people, try to convince anyone, or win people over. God has already anointed you with favor. All you have to do is turn on the favor faucet and expect God to show up in supernatural ways. Some people may not even like you, but they will still assist you because of the favor that is upon your life. They will go out of their way to help you reach your dreams.

The Scripture says, “Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” While everyone else was living an ungodly life, Noah found favor. Why is that? The next verse says, “Noah was a good man, a man of integrity in his community. Noah walked with God.”

How can we turn on the favor faucet? When you seek God and please Him with your thoughts, words, and actions, you will find favor in the eyes of the Lord. God will turn on the favor faucet that will cause you to rise higher, be more, do more, have more, and give more!

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless” (Psalm 84:11 NIV).
