Jesus is the best news of Christmas, yet so many have never heard His Name! This holiday season is the perfect time to share God’s love with poor, suffering, and marginalized people around the globe. Imagine providing a family-size blanket to a mother who desperately wants to keep her children warm. Picture empowering a destitute family by gifting them some livestock. Visualize the joy of villagers being able to drink clean water from a hand pump. Will you prayerfully consider changing a life during this special time of year?
Thank you and Merry Christmas!
Christmas is the best time for gospel outreaches in restricted access nations. We are able to more openly share the gospel and speak about the birth of our Lord through drama, skits, and storytelling. Unsaved people are invited to participate in a Christmas lunch where the Good News is preached, and souls are saved!
Imagine living as a Christian without the Word of God. What if you never saw a Bible and your pastor never used one because he did not own one himself? Many Christians in China and other countries do not own a single Bible. A box of Bibles allows young believers to become disciples in Christ and build a strong church.
Homes in poor countries have no indoor heating. Winter months are especially harsh on children and the elderly. Many do not survive the sub-zero temperatures. A blanket provides warmth, comfort, and serves as a tangible expression of God’s love.
Domestic animals are of great value in developing nations. A pair of goats provides plenty of milk to drink and sell. It also ensures the birth of at least two offspring per year, thus growing the herd for profit. Likewise, cows are incredibly useful. A single cow provides milk for a family and works in the field to grow crops.
Many poor families earn less than $3 USD a day. Owning a manual sewing machine allows a family to make a living by tailoring clothes for their community. We provide training so that impoverished women can learn a trade and help support their families.
Water is essential to survive. Yet millions of people—mostly children—die daily from a lack of clean water. It is predominantly women and children who walk up to four hours to fetch water for their families. Installing a Life Well safely and effectively provides entire communities with drinking water.
When it comes to health and hygiene, our main goal is prevention. We focus on reducing and eliminating germs, bacteria, and other diseases. A hygiene packet contains soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, comb, nail clippers, feminine products, etc. Often it is the recipient’s first time ever to receive such basic items.
In emerging countries, poverty is found everywhere. People cannot depend on government assistance or a welfare system. Believers are often persecuted and disowned by their own families. A simple gift of a bag of rice or wheat can not only last for a whole month but also cheer up an entire family during Christmas.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” — Matthew 28:19-20 NIV
Our vision is to win souls, make disciples, train leaders, and plant churches. We do this by empowering people mentally, physically, and spiritually. We are also providing relief to destitute people by supplying clean drinking water, creating job through vocational training, and education.
